Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received in his NOGA office Acting Director of Studies and International Relations Engineer Hussain Jaffer Makki on the occasion of receiving a professional certificate in Energy Management System ISO 50001: 2011 Lead Audit from The International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan, the NOGA General Secretary, Mr. Ali Abdul Jabbar Al Sawad, General Manager, Strategies and Planning.

The Minister congratulated Engineer Makki on winning the professional certificate and wished him every success. He expressed his pleasure with the fact that NOGA was always keen on supporting its staff in acquiring various professional skills so as to enhance their efficiency and enable them for the benefit and interest of increasing work productivity for the authority.

The application of the audit system in various companies and institutions is one of the most modern means that helped contribute to defining opportunities for continuous improvement. It raised the efficiency of various energy sources in institutions and companies so as to enhance and maintain them in the country. It should be noted that the system was adopted in 2011, and began to be applied in various institutions since then world over.

Engineer Makki expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for his support, which, he said, contributed to his achievement. He also thanked all officials and colleagues for their continuous and fruitful cooperation.

Engineer Makki is the first Bahraini to obtain this certification in the field of energy management systems from IRCA in the Kingdom, and the second at the GCC level.
