Minister of Energy His Excellency Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received a high-level delegation from Hungarian oil companies headed by oil firm INA Chairman Zoltan Ault and consisting of its board of directors, members of MOL Group executive board, and Hungarian Honorary Consul to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Balazs Garamvolgyi. The National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) General Secretary Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Sharyan and Advisor to the Minister Anwar Khalaf were present at the meeting.

H.E. Dr. Mirza welcomed Mr. Ault and the accompanying delegation. Praising the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, he expressed his happiness about Bahrain’s keen steps to increase cooperation with Hungary within the framework of deep-rooted relations with the European Union, extending to the oil, gas and energy sectors.

The Minister gave a brief presentation about oil companies in Bahrain highlighting investment opportunities in the energy sector in the country to the visiting delegation, listing NOGA’s upcoming most promising strategic projects and developmental programs. The two sides discussed various topics and issues pertaining to oil and gas in the global market, including the exchange of expertise and investments as well as business opportunities and trade cooperation for the economic benefit of both the countries. He talked about Bahrain’s efforts to attract investments, explore joint research opportunities as well as the possibility of expanding economic and trade ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Hungary and how it would benefit the national economy in both the friendly nations. The Hungarian side briefed the minister about the visiting companies and business interests, affirming the keenness of the companies for collaboration with oil firms operating in the Kingdom.

Mr. Ault and the accompanying delegation expressed gratitude and appreciation to H.E. Dr. Mirza for the warm reception and fruitful discussions on topics that promoted trade relations. They wished the people of Bahrain happiness, progress and prosperity.
