His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, issued Royal Decree No. (99) of 2021 abolishing the National Oil and Gas Authority.
Article (1)
The National Oil and Gas Authority is hereby abolished.
Article (2)
The Ministry of Oil shall assume all powers, functions, and responsibilities previously vested in the National Oil and Gas Authority as prescribed under the laws, regulations, resolutions, and other applicable legal instruments in force in the Kingdom.
Article (3)
All budgetary appropriations allocated to the National Oil and Gas Authority under the State General Budget, together with all its rights and obligations, shall be transferred to the Ministry of Oil. All employees of the National Oil and Gas Authority shall likewise be transferred to the Ministry of Oil, retaining their existing employment rights and benefits, in accordance with the organizational structure and regulations of the Ministry.
Article (4)
Any provision that conflicts with the provisions of this Decree is hereby repealed.
Article (5)
The Prime Minister and the Ministers, each within the scope of their respective responsibilities, shall implement the provisions of this Decree. This Decree shall take effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
