Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment , Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, met with Abdulla Al Thawadi, Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Bahrain Section Chairperson.
The minister praised the society’s efforts to build national expertise and strengthen the technical capabilities of Bahrain’s oil and gas sector. He highlighted its role in supporting the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030 and in reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a regional centre for knowledge and innovation in energy.
Dr. Bin Daina affirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting the society’s initiatives, stressing the importance of cooperation between government institutions and professional associations in advancing the sector and enhancing technical performance.
The meeting also reviewed the society’s accomplishments over the past year and outlined key scientific and professional events planned for the remainder of 2024.
Al Thawadi thanked the minister for his support, noting that the ministry’s support plays a vital role in sustaining the society’s progress and aligning its activities with the needs of the national energy sector.
