Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, highlighted that Bahrain’s hosting of this global event underscores its ongoing efforts to strengthen chemical safety practices and minimise industrial and environmental risks. He noted that the Kingdom continues to advance regulatory policies and safety frameworks that ensure the responsible handling of chemicals and effective oversight of industrial operations. He also stressed the importance of raising awareness and building technical capacity through specialised forums, conferences, and training programmes focused on the latest technologies and best practices for creating a safe, efficient industrial environment.

 

Dr. bin Dainah praised the efforts of the organising committee and the decision to hold the conference in Bahrain, describing it as a step that will further scientific collaboration and encourage in-depth dialogue on key issues in the sector. He underlined the value of international cooperation in keeping pace with global developments in safety and sustainability, calling for more investment in innovation, creative solutions, and workforce development to meet future challenges responsibly and effectively.
